With the recent exposure of healthy juicing recipes from juice bars and cafes, plus of course the famous documentary “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead”, men and women all over the country are taking health into their own hands by drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juice rather than processed kinds that are loaded with sugar and preservatives.
What about recipes that kids will enjoy too? Juicing for kids is a perfect addition to their afternoon snack and wonderful way to get in their vitamins and minerals in a raw, pure, all natural way! My husband and I are really passionate about incorporating juicing into everyday living, because it’s such an easy way to add something healthy in and plan on doing that for our little one too when she gets older. Some of our family back in NY that isn’t as health conscious as we are, thinks we are sometimes becoming ‘crazy Cali health nuts’ when we talk about juicing, but when they tried it on our last trip home, actually asked us for recipes when we left 
For younger kids, because some veggies are stronger than others, if juicing spinach, watercress, kale, parsley, broccoli or beets, juice these items in small quantities and start with just one or two veggies then add in a sweeter fruit such as apple. Also add filtered water to dilute the juice.
A good recommendation would be to dilute the juice as a 1:1 ratio, and as a 5 oz. or less serving per day.
Some yummy kiddie combos:
- Pineapple-carrot juice: 2 carrots plus 2 pineapple spears
- Orange-carrot : 1 carrot and 1 orange
- Apple-carrot juice: 2 red apples and 1 carrot
- Apple-grape juice: 2 apples and small bunch of grapes
- Pear juice: 2 pears
- Apple juice: 3 apples
- Apple -celery: 1 apple and 2 stalks celery
- Pineapple -strawberry: 2 pineapple spear and a small handful of strawberries
