So my husband and I absolutely LOVE traveling. We actually conceived on a trip to a rainforest in Borneo, (unintentionally), while on a month long trip around Europe, Bali and southeast Asia, last September! Traveling is part of who we are as a couple with all the countries we have explored together and with the birth of our first child, we know that we want to find a way to make it part of our family life together, too. We also know that it probably isn’t too practical to strap our daughter to our backs and hike the Amazon while she’s an infant right now, so I looked into vacations that would work with little ones that don’t break the bank and that are easier to get to, (U.S. based). And hey, if you live in or near any of the cities below, make it a stay-cation this summer! We decided we can save Macchu Picchu for when she’s in high school, writes a report on it, and will always appreciate and remember it! Although knowing us, we will probably find a way to get to Paris with her at any age, so look for a post on tips for bringing your baby to Paris in the future;) The places listed below are places that I think families with kids of any ages can enjoy together in the U.S., (before they go off to college and want to backpack Europe without mom and dad).
