What is The Dailey Method barre fitness class? Is it a bar tending class? No! Is it a ballet class? No! The Dailey Method® is a unique combination of ballet barre work, core conditioning, muscle strengthening, yoga, and orthopedic exercises. Its a type of workout that strengthens, tones and lengthens the entire body. I from my personal experience have seen a big difference in my posture, muscles toned and feeling stronger!
I have been attending TDM (The Dailey Method) for about 6 months on and off and have seen a tremendous change in my body. After having 2 children my body has not been the same, and it was very hard for me to get back in shape. After going to TDM I have been feeling good about myself, I feel strong, fit and motivated! One thing that I also like about TDM is that every class per a week is different. One day we use the ball, the next day we use weights, so on so forth.
Unlike a large traditional fitness class, students receive individualized attention. Trainers aim to provide one-on-one attention to all students, helping ensure effectiveness and safety. I know there have been times where I am not in the correct form and the instructor comes and positions me correctly, plus she does not put you on the spot, she is constantly adjusting everyone to be in the correct form to get the full workout. Another belief TDM has is a very strong focus on educating their students on working with a neutral spine position, which is the healthiest, most natural position for our alignment.
So a few girlfriends and I have been taking these classes together. My results have not been consistent because I have not attend TDM for about 3 months due to the summer break and traveling, but my friend Joy has been dedicated to TDM and her body looks amazing. She has been attending for about 4 months and has lost 25lbs. She says that “she feels stronger, leaner and younger”. She thinks it is the best thing that has happened to her and has never felt so motivated…….
TDM has changed my body, it has made me tone and work muscles that I did not even know existed. Mind you not, each class is intense but definitely worth it in the long run. Also, TDM believes that if you come to class 2-3 times a week, in 2 weeks you will see a tremendous positive change in your body. Another thing that they offer is childcare for a reasonably priced fee so you do not have to worry about your kids.
